This past day there’s been a sudden change in the weather in North East Thailand and first thing this morning I thought it might be time to get the bobble hat and gloves out. It was first time fishing in Thailand for keen pike fishermen Haddie and Paul from Holland who today rented the lake out, despite the sudden drop in temperatures they still managed to have a cracking day.. Unfortunately no Alligator Gar which would of been nice.. hopefully next time lads and thank you again for your visit!

Andy’s 2nd visit to our lake this week and he was certainly kept busy for most of the afternoon, easily netting over ten decent sized fish and with two new species to add to his list including the target fish for today ‘ the Alligator Gar ‘ and then a surprise Ripsaw Catfish.. actually I am not sure why they call them a catfish as they are more like a carp in the head and mouth with prehistoric razor sharp body armour at the back.. but all in all an excellent afternoons fishing!
I was just testing a couple of new rigs we have set up before this afternoons booking and oops’ accidentally caught a lovely 47lb Catla Catla Indian Carp!

In a private and secluded beautiful North East Thailand setting the mixed specimen coarse lake boasts well over 40 different fish species ranging from huge 80kg + Mekong Catfish to 40kg + Siamese Carp, with vicious predators such as the Arapaima, Alligator Gar, Chao Phraya Catfish, Amazon Redtail and many more..
Some of the big fish require strong tackle so we use high end imported fishing tackle which can be provided free of charge, inc Free Spirit rods, Shimano big bait runners, rod pods equipped with Fox bite alarm indicators , full tackle box .. also enough bait for the full day.. you maybe also bring your own tackle but it will be inspected for suitability for catching our larger residents.. you will also be provided with a personal guide / assistant to give you advise plus a helping hand to land any of the larger fish .. (the amount of assistance you require is up to yourself)
Private salas offering ultimate comfort and protection from the sun and rain whilst fishing / relaxing with cool fans, a fully stocked mini bar, Western and Thai food available.. (plug sockets and fast WIFI connection which is very popular with any none fishing spectators / family members) We also have pony rides for the kids (and adults) ..
Please Note: This is not a commercial fishing park where you can just walk in but a private secluded lake and currently fishing would be reserved exclusively for yourself, family or group, to avoid disappointment we would prefer that bookings are to be made in advance, the correct location will be provided once a booking is made..

It was an exciting and exhausting day for experienced carp fisherman Andy from UK, skilfully landing well over 20 fish with a nice variety of about 8 different fish species making it an interesting and fun filled day,, great company with some good banter looking forward to the next visit! thank you Andy!
Yesterday we had a very nice visit from Scott and his family, they managed to land a good variety of fish throughout the day and I think some of our bigger amazon red tails made sure of some aching arms! thank you again and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Udon!
A good start to the day on such a lovely fresh morning with 7 trucks full of well over 100 exciting new fish, all in different sizes and with a couple of new species… still plenty more to come including some rare and extremely big carp …

A first time visit for spinning and pike enthusiast Tomas from Sweden who had a very productive day on the lake hooking into his first ever Alligator Gar and then nicely finished the day off with landing two more! Counted well over 10 nicely sized specimen fish and with quite a few different species… he even left me some nice lures as a present! what a lovely guy and I look forward to his return in September..!
