A very pleasurable 3 days with Shaun who is the owner of Topcat’s Fishing resort Ko Samui.

John is over from the UK on holiday but at the same time writing a new Thailand fishing park guide, he had a cracking 3 days at our lake with 14 different fish species landed and about 50 fish in total.. not bad going considering the temperamental weather conditions now the rain season has kicked in..

we also have nice comfy sala to fish from which is pretty much girlfriend / wife proof with comfy loungers, wifi, plug sockets, fans, mini bar and Esaan / Thai food on hand.. also pony rides for any little ones so you can be left in peace fishing .. 🙂

Good effort from our guide young Burr who battled with this beast for what seemed like most of the morning, for an estimated weight I’d say a lot more than his body weight…

Experienced angler Danny flew up from Ko Samui to fish the lake and to experience Udon Thani for the first time…. throughout the day a good variety of fish species were skilfully landed….

an early rise for some new residents arriving .. over next couple of days we are introducing another fifty new biggies which should keep any carp fishermen happy …(all over 25kg in weight)

Its pretty rare to catch a fierce predator such as The Chao Phraya Catfish other wise known as The Dog Eating Catfish on a boilie, maybe the boiklie moved and the fish thought it was prey… a good 30 minute + battle ensued!
