With the weather just turning a bit cooler the Amazon red tail catfish certainly came on the feed keeping our first time visitors Steve & family pretty busy for most of the day! in all over 6 different fish species were caught and with a couple of lost biggies 🙁 .. thank you for your visit and we look forward to seeing you again soon..

Keen fisherman Lawrence from Kent visited us for his first time today with wife Duane and his lovely mum. Not many biggies but Lawrence was certainly kept very busy and at least 15 fish with 7 different species were landed throughout the day! To finish the day off Mum and Duane enjoyed a ride through the Thai village on our horse and cart…. great company and hope to see you again on your next visit !

A spot of early morning fishing before work reaped some nice rewards for our young Mr Gop resulting in netting 2 very nice Alligator Gar followed buy one of our newer residents the Ripsaw Catfish,,,finishing off with screaming runs and a  fearsome fight with one of our freshwater ‘ sharks ‘ The Chao Phraya Catfish’ .. 

Had no visitors today so with having the lake to myself I thought heres a good opportunity to have a bash and try out some new pop ups.  The afternoon started off nicely with the first strike a Julien’s Golden Prize Carp and then a couple of nice doubles, but the highlight of the day had to be hooking into one of our recently added larger residents’  Big Siamese Carp.. with many now at 30 – 40kg+ (66lb – 88lb +) .. happy days! tight lines everyone!

Mally & Neil from Scotland had a few lost fish and a bit of a slow start but still managed to land some nice fish, it was great meeting you today lads and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Some good rod bending action on the lake this afternoon with Norman from Canada hooking into some nice Arapaima and then early evening young Gop skilfully landed three lovely carp, 2 Juliens Golden Prize Carp at 23kg (50lb) and 18kg (39lb) and then a late 18kg (39lb) Siamese…

James from the UK fished for predators only and had a very successful day with 5 Arapaima’s, easily over 10 nice redtails and his first ever Aligator Gar… to top the day off I managed to sneek in a nice Juliens Golden Prize Carp..,, thank you James and we look forward to your next visit ,

Lizzy and Mae are visiting us on a 4 day horse riding course but this morning they thought they would try their hand at a bit of predator fishing and landed three lovely Amazon Redtail Catfish ranging 8kg – 10.5kg (17lb – 22lb) well done and not bad for 1st time!

locally bought tackle does not seem to be up to the job with at least 4 rods recently snapped in two so today we were testing the ‘ free spirit ‘ rods we have brought over from the UK.. they give a nice feel for the fish whilst at the same time being capable to subdue our largest residents…. together with the Shimano big bait runners we find this the ideal combination for our lake….. rod pod and Fox alarms are also provided…

A good days predator fishing for Phil from Canada with his target fish landing 3 Arapaima, numerous Amazon Redtail, some nice carp and his first Julien’s.. we look forward to seeing you again next year Phil!
