Fishery Rules

Fishery Rules

Many of our fish are delicate and very expensive, therefore we have to have just a few fishery rules in place to ensure your enjoyment and our fishes continued good health…

We are a catch and release fishery and under no circumstances are fish to be removed from the premises. Fish care is our main priority so that other anglers may enjoy catching fish in pristine condition.

NO ROD SHARING IS ALLOWED.

Bookings of 1 day or more must be PAID IN FULL on the day of arrival.

To secure a booking we would require a 30% nonrefundable deposit.

Do not start fishing without informing our staff. We must know at all times when you are fishing to ensure you and the fish’s safety. Should you be found fishing outside of the designated times, you will immediately be asked to leave and banned from the fishery without a refund.

LOST RODS – we use expensive imported equipment, lost rod and reel will be charged at 8000 baht each (please remember to engage the bait runner to avoid this!) damaged / broken rods due to mishandling 4000 Baht. Do not leave rods unattended at any time.

Fly and lure fishing is not permitted on the lake. Using a float on a predator rod is also not permitted.

Hooks – All hooks must be barbless or have their barbs flattened. No treble hooks, multi-hook rigs, stainless steel hooks, wire traces or circle hooks are to be used.

Rigs – Changing of rig setups is not allowed without pre-arranged permission. All hook-links not provided by us must be shown to us and approved prior to use; our decision is final regarding the use of your rigs and tackle.

Taking photographs

No fish to be removed from the water (without permission) Please get into the water at the designated area to unhook and get photographs. Keep the fish as low as you can to the water and do not put your hand/fingers near the fish’s gills or mouth. Please listen to the guides and take their advice at all times. For photography Arapaima should never be lifted entirely clear of the water, as this easily damages the fish and can even cause the fishes death.

All fish must be netted by our staff, we do not allow anyone other than staff to net fish. Do not under any circumstances release a fish without our approval.

Guides

Our guides are there to advise, unhook, net the fish, look after you and fish safety and to take photographs, although not compulsory if you feel they have worked hard and contributed to an enjoyable day a tip is much appreciated.

Extra Rods

An extra rod which will increase your chances of catching is available to add on. (only available for the anglers who have paid for the fishing package)

Extra carp rod – 500 B per rod

Extra predator rod – 1,000 B per rod

Baits

We provide a reasonable amount of bait which should last you throughout the day, but if you require any extra baits for baiting up areas or to try something new please check out our bait menu.

Safety

No swimming or wading – only enter the water for the purpose of being photographed with your catch.

Children under 18 but be accompanied by a responsible adult, please note that the lake is extremely deep and we cannot accept responsibility for your child’s safety whilst on our premises.

Managements decision on all matters is final.

Please do not bring outside food or drinks into the fishing park

(we have a full onsite menu and fully stocked mini-bar in your fishing area/sala)

Lek’s opens for fishing between 07:30 AM and 6:30 PM
